Codent Systems

Privacy Policy

Last updated August 18, 2026

Codent Systems (“we,” “our,” “us” — a sole-proprietor IT practice, so in plain terms: “I”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you contact us, request an assessment, become a client, or opt in to text messages, and how we use and protect it.

Information we collect

  • Contact and business details — name, company, phone number, email, and details about your environment and what you need done, provided by you when you reach out or become a client.
  • Communications — emails, notes from calls, and text messages you exchange with us on our business number.
  • Service records — tickets, work performed, and the technical information needed to support your systems.
  • Billing records — proposals, invoices and payment status. Card details, when used, are processed by our payment provider and are not stored by us.

How we use it

To scope, deliver and support the IT services you engage us for; to send you service updates, appointment reminders and invoices; to answer your questions; and to keep records the law requires. We do not sell your personal information.

Text messaging (SMS)

Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never sold, rented, shared with, or disclosed to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your number is used only to send you the Codent Systems messages you agreed to receive.

You opt in by texting START to (732) 802-3756 — during onboarding I may invite you to do so, but consent always comes from your own phone. Messages cover service updates such as ticket notices, scheduled-maintenance and appointment reminders, and invoice notices. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to cancel at any time; reply HELP or contact us at (732) 802-3756 / [email protected] for help. Full details are in our SMS terms.

Who we share it with

Only service providers that help us run the practice — for example our messaging carrier (to deliver texts), email provider, monitoring and backup platforms used to deliver your service, payment processor, and accountants — each of which may use your information only to provide that service to us. We may also disclose information when required by law.

Retention and security

We keep service and billing records for as long as needed for contractual, tax and legal purposes. Access to client data is limited to what the work requires, protected by strong authentication and encryption in transit.

Your choices

You may ask us to correct or delete your information, or to stop contacting you, at any time. Text STOP to end text messages immediately.
